Casey Renée Lopez
Founder/Publisher
Casey Renée Lopez is a Ph.D. student in Public Policy. They are primarily interested in violence intervention policy research related to transgender people and other marginalized groups. Through interdisciplinary work, they hope to contribute to developing more research on social equity as it applies to the transgender community in and around the Richmond, Virginia, metropolitan area. Formerly, Casey edited Crab Fat Magazine, published poetry and experimental work by queer and trans people at Damaged Goods Press, and authored several collections of poetry, including the new gods (Bottlecap Press, March 2018), heretic bastard (Clare Songbirds Publishing House, August 2018), and when does our blood become a crucifixion (Ghost City Press, July 2019). Now they’re back on their bullshit to spread kinky joy within their communities. They read daily, are neck-deep in doctoral research, and contemplating their life choices.
